The powers and duties of CSB-ISTR officers and officials are as defined by Central Silk Board and as such there is no separate powers & duties for CSB-ISTR.

The channel of supervision: Director → Scientist-D → Scientist-C.

Administrative side: Accounts / Audit

Annual Action Plan is prepared and forwarded to Central Silk Board, Bangalore through National Silkworm Seed Organization (NSSO), Bangalore for approval. This centre is a non-delegated unit and working under National Silkworm Seed Organization, Bangalore.

Administration

Files requiring sanction / approval of the Director are sent through Head of Institute. All financial proposals are forwarded to NSSO for approval / payment.

Store purchase procedure

Procedure for store purchase as mentioned in G.F.R. is being followed scrupulously and as per the guidelines issued by Central Silk Board and Central Vigilance Commission from time to time.
